He couldn't help but to grin as she told him to not be stupid. It was so painfully obvious, in that very moment, that she liked him that he wanted, more than anything, to poke her nose and tell her that she was being such. However, he didn't want to end up in another arguement with her and thus he held off.

"I'll shush. Just for you, love," he said. "And your place will be left in the same condition you left it, I promise."

Then an akward silence settled on them; one that Darby wasn't entirely sure how to manuever past - or even sure if he wanted to manuever past. There was almost something comforting about simply being with Athena that brought some sense of completeness to himself. Something about her that made him feel utterly sure that he could remain who he was and still become part of something better.

He almost had to laugh at his own sappiness.

"Dinner? Tonight? Before you leave?"
