He smiled broadly at her and leaned in, ready to give her a kiss when he halted and instead just pulled her in for a quick hug. A month! A whole month without her! It wasn't fair.

Not waiting on her to respond, he disappeared into his back room to scrounge about for a pair of matching shoes. Finding them, he slipped them on and then gave himself a serious look in the mirror before grabbing the cologne he almost never wore and giving himself a mist of it.

Athena would probably love it; she would claim to hate it. He was sure. That brought a grin to his face before he was racing out of his room and heading over to get his girl and her dog for a last night's farewell.
