taking a sledge hammer to his skull. He sat up and ran his fingers through his hair with a groan. Even his hair hurt. He was by no means a lightweight when it came to drinking but he had defiantly overdone it this time.

He had gone to the pub with all intentions of just earning the months rent and doing very little drinking. In the beginning thats exactly what he had done. Lady Luck had been on his side and he had easily won the money in the poker game with a little extra for groceries. He wouldve won more probably but his character was brought into question in form of a accusation of cheating. This of course lead to fist fight which got Orion and the couple of blokes he was fighting with expelled from the pub. His half brother, who had been involved in another poker game, jumped in for the kick of it. Together, they finished their brawl in the middle of the alley way. Having successfully whipped their opponents, Mouse had pulled out a clear bottle containing some unknown reddish liquid. In celebration of their victory, both brothers had gotten rip roaring drunk and had made their way back bellowing the lyrics to The Old Dun Cow at the top of their lungs. The drinking song consisted of the story of a pub catching fire and the customers escaping to the basement where they polished off the contents of the kegs that were held there oblivious of the fire. Orion didnt even remember making it back to his flat.

Orion sniffed his shirt and grimaced before yanking it off and changing into some clean clothes that didnt smell of whiskey or smoke. He made a mental note to not ever take a swig of any kind of drink that Mouse filched. He made his way to the loo and winced as he flipped on the light. He glanced at himself in the mirror briefly just long enough to take note of the nice bruise that was forming on his cheek.

He entered the living room just in time to hear, Jacqs voice echoing through the flat.

"You are going to eat this, and you are going to bed. Even if I have to tie you to it."

Orion could help but grin, even though it rather hurt to do so. His room mate apparently finally made it home, or got dragged to it. Probably the latter. Orion circled the couch taking note of his exhausted room mate. He didnt think anyone could look worse then Orion did, but Dam was the picture of exhaustion. The black circles under his eyes was more pronounced if that was even possible giving evidence to sleepless nights. He thought his room mate to be asleep until he announced:

"OK Jacquie dear. Food, and then sleep. Got it. You know, you should be a mother."

"You are still in trouble muster. Big, big trouble."

Orion paused at the kitchen doorway and grinned as he saw Jacquie standing before the stove.

Hello, Gorgeous. You know, looking after Dam is a 24 hour kind of job. You should consider moving in, Orion announced as he leaned against the door frame. For Dams sake, of course, he assured her with a wicked smile that suggested otherwise.

He joined her at the counter and took a glass from one of the cabinets. After rummaging through the fridge, he pulled out a raw egg and cracked it in the glass. Then added a blackish green sort of mixture from a bottle on the counter and stirred the concoction with a spoon. He took a swig before turning his attention back to Jacq.

There wouldnt happen to be enough for another person would there? he asked hopefully taking a glance of the porridge. It was nice to see someone cooking, he was rather disastrous when it came to cooking and Dam was never there so Orion wasnt all that sure he could cook or not.
