Ive never eaten those things, but they sound good. I can make scrambled eggs, macaroni and cheese and a couple of other things. Im still learning."

Maddy made a mental note to get hold of recipes for a few of the more unusual dishes. There weren't too many things that beat cooking up a culinary feast, especially if there was someone willing to try. Besides, if everything went to plan she would have plenty of time on her hands. She didn't think being a Trainee Healer would occupy too much of her time- she was counting on it being similar to school, hopefully minus the homework.

Many are. But in general working dogs do very well, like labs and german shepards. See Gypsys a bit of a mutt, shes got some Shepard in her, but dont tell her or shell be devastated.

She laughed shyly at that, eagerly soaking up the new information. A Ravenclaw at heart, she was intrigued by this strange, or so it seemed to her, practice. It had often occurred to her to wonder how Muggles coped with such things. In the circles that her parents moved in, the guide dog was essentially replaced by a loyal house-elf.

"So how do dogs like Gypsy get trained? I mean, I'm not trying to be rude or anything but you can't really talk to dogs. How does she know where to go?" Despite her best efforts, Maddy couldn't keep herself from voicing the question. But now she'd gone and said it, she couldn't really take it back. It was true though, Maddy thought. I like to think Vlad understands me, but really all he cares about is where he's going to find his next meal. Of course, she would never let on that she talked to Vlad, but often she found him far better company than whoever was accosting or insulting her at the time. At least nothing cruel ever spilled from his mouth.

Thatll be fine. A mink? Thats sort of strange, Ive never heard of anyone ever having a mink for a pet. But no, Gypsys too well trained to bother any other kind of creature, well cats anyway, but Im sure she wont have any trouble with minks.

"Well, to cut a long story short, he was a graduation present from a very good friend. He's a replacement, so really he's Vlad the Impaler II. But, the first one, my mother wanted to make into a fur stole, but I fell in love with it...and once you've gone mink, you never turn back," she informed him, seriously. At the time, Maddy had become hysterical at the thought, and at times of extreme distress, she could be extremely persuasive. Even if it was only because the sound of her shrieking was enough to make most concede.

I know that the flat is a bit bare at the moment. You can bring in any furtniture or whatnot. Just tell me about it when you do so I wont run into it. As for the rent, were split it down the middle. As for the electricity, I can pay for that since Ill be using some muggle items. SoDo you go to Hogwarts or are you done? Oh do you need any help moving in? That isif you still want to stay?

Maddy turned to the doorstep, where her trunk still lay. "Well, I've got most of my things in here, but I was planning on going shopping later." Oh, the wonders of Shrinking Charms. She listened to Daniel detail how the bills were to be split, and nodded- of course, if she used the record player and other Muggle things, she'd share that...electricity, that was the word, bill. "Actually, I just graduated, from Ravenclaw. I'm working at St. Mungo's," she explained. "How about you?"

Wait...had she been unfriendly? No, he'd been talking about her staying, and surely he must like her a little to want her company. Or whatever. Maddy refused to go into this argument with herself again. "Of course I want to, it's perfect! You'll be regretting it by the end of the week, though, I tend to sing and dance in the kitchen and I'm warning you, I'm not that in tune," she whispered, conspiratorially.
