Paris couldn't understand why he was acting the way he was. She'd expected perhaps dissapointment, a moment of shock even, but he seemed sick with the idea. Paris tilted her head to one side giving him a peculiar stare. "Are you...are you alright? Do you need water or something?" she questioned looking nervous and quickly snapped an order for water at a passing house elf.

"Congratulations?" A forced cough. "I mean...She's...Beautiful. Truly. Just like her mother."

The water arrived and Paris took it from the elf, her hand outstretched to him. Despite the awkwardness of the statement and the moment she still smiled. "Oh...really? You think so?" Paris said seemingly hopeful about the prospect. Paris could already tell her hair color was going to be a bit off from the platinum blonde she sported, and her eyes were Justin's without a doubt...bright blue. But she still hoped Madyson somewhat resembled her, so that people would always say to her "You look just like your mother" in that way children so hated but parents adored. Paris understood that now.

"Do you...Well, that is to say...The father?"

Paris looked grave. She tucked her hair behind her ear and breathed softly to herself in silent contemplation for several minutes spanned out to feel like an eternity. She tapped her fingernails against the back of the wall, for a moment blind to the inner turmoil that was going on in Lucius' brain, though she could feel the emotion as though it were her own, she blocked it out, trying to think.

"Please, don't be angry," Paris started biting her bottom lip, her disposition probably doing nothing to immediately reassure his fears. "These things happen....I mean I'll get by without the help and everything so please don't...don't be angry when I tell you that she's...."

She paused trying not to cry at his name, "....She's Justin's."
