Whilst Noah was not condoning bragging in any way shape or form (not really, after all bragging was lying) he had never understood the sheer reluctance of his peers to so much as mention the word sex. Perhaps he had unconsciously adopted his father's very European attitude to the whole thing, however Noah preferred to think his peers had it all wrong. After all, by not talking about it they just reinforced the taboo created by the establishment to prevent the people from having fun and free love. Of course the fact that such a philosophy had gone out of fashion a decade ago was not going to stop Noah, after all good ideals never truly went out of fashion, and lived on in the minds of sane people who were yet to realize what was so damn embarrassing about what was, after breathing, eating and shiting, probably the next most instinctive and required animal instinct.

Clearly Mim was not of his thinking, not if the abundance of ink which made its way over her, her work, and sadly him, was anything to go by. The splodge of black ink which landed on the front of his shirt ended his little talk regarding the true natures of Marvin and Bertram and Binns, however it simply reinforced that what he had been told was indeed true. Ignoring the stain which would probably never come out Noah pulled out his wand and began to very carefully clean some of the less badly damaged rolls of parchment, salvaging perhaps a third of those effected by Mim's embarrassment before he gave up.

Snorting slightly, for clearly Mim had forgotten the connection between him and Adela, Noah replied with a pointed look, "You told Adela and Adela told me, and of course I'm not going to tell Matt considering I don't think I have ever spoken to him."

That was the other thing he would never understand, though he reckoned Ruth was completely responsible this time, the need to hide everything from one's family, as though Matt wasn't having sex himself, as though her parents hadn't had sex in order to conceive her if nothing else. Of course when your mother made pointed comments every now and then about giving a nice girl a chance it was somewhat off-putting when it came to the share and tell thing, however Mim didn't have that excuse, nor did everyone else who succumbed to the notion.

"It's just sex, I really think this," He gestured to her ruined work, "Wasn't required. Unless it was hideously bad, but then I reckon throwing the ink over McKinney would be better than throwing it over your notes."
