Quidditch matches being the necessary social events that they were, Gail Darling arrived at the stadium a handful of moments before the match was scheduled to begin. She passed among her friends, admirers, and soon-to-be admirers - regardless of whether those individuals regarded themselves as deserving such titles or not - saying hellos and offering compliments and sitting down here and there to chat for a few moments at a time. Except for the rising noise level, she barely noticed that the match had begun and only wandered along to get someone new's attention when the boy she was talking to suddenly started chanting with his mates about some Ravenclaw's sister.

The voice commentating the match was familiar but, amplified as it was, it took her a bit to place who it was. When she recognized him, she raised a brow, wondering how in Merlin he'd been picked to replace Michelle, and decided to make her way towards the top box, through the crowds. It seemed odd to have anyone but her sister commentating the matches, and Gail felt a tiny touch of resentment at the idea. Spewing all kinds of detailed Quidditch blather was Michelle's job, and Gail had never had the least bit of interest in it. But now, now that Michelle had gone and made such a mess of herself, someone else had to do it, and it just didn't feel right.

She didn't pay very much attention to the match or to Noah's comments as she made her way around the stadium and up to the top, but she did catch enough of it to know that Michelle would be apoplectic to hear a match handled this way. The image of her sister spluttering incoherently over such commentary was enough to have Gail smiling as she wormed into the top box. McGonagall was so busy watching her Gryffindors and threatening Noah, that she didn't seem to notice Gail, who went ahead and made herself comfortable without asking permission. She slipped into a seat right next to Noah and leaned her chin against Noah's shoulder, slipping an arm about his back.

"How do you know Tobias isn't terribly well endowed, Noah?" she asked. "Have you been checking him out again?"
