The night was quiet, the only sounds coming from a party that never ended at the local pub in this tiny village. Under normal circumstances he might have stopped in for a pint, and joined in on the party even if he would not have had any idea what the celebration was about. But not on that night, in fact, his entire reason for being in this village, on this particular night, was due to fact that the Ministry had been alerted of the use of an unauthorized Portkey within the immediate vicinity. The fact this activity included being ported near a town were a Potionmaker was allegedly residing it, it had been brought to the attention of the Aurors. But considering the fact that this was not indeed listed as an overtly dangerous, or large for that matter, event, Wolfe had been sent out to this small village. Much to his dismay. Wolfe was a person who enjoyed being in the center of the action, and to be sent out to investigate what was most likely just some idiot who broke a minor law that was in place was rather annoying. However, he took his assignment seriously, because it was the only way he was ever going to move up in the Auror world. Do enough menial tasks for the higher ups and eventually they will cut you a break and start assigning your more dangerous projects.

For now he would investigate, possibly arrest if it was warrented and then move on. But rather than approach the person straight away, he chose to follow them slowly, and quietly in an attempt to get a handle on what exactly his, or her, purpose was. If this person was indeed seeking out the Potionmaker that lived in his village, that would bring about a whole set of new questions. Not to mention his senses were tingling, telling him that he should be cautious. Any person who walked around in a dark cloak with their hood up in order to hide their face was a person who one wanted to approach, or follow in this case, cautiously. He kept his distance while keeping up with the person in order to get a better handle of the situation and how best to approach it. It was a good thing that they had not sent Jez out with him, because she would have marched right up to the person and demanded to know what the fuck they were doing. The idea of it, and the fact that he knew it to be true, brought something of an amused smile on his face. But that would also demean the entire person of keeping a safe distance in order to figure out the true intent behind the action.

But then suddenly, almost with ease, the situation was reversed. Wolfe tensed, his hand gripping firmly on his wand as he stood very still, aware that the person was now watching him. Apparently they were alot better than he had anticipated. This person was not fooling around, or perhaps they were. Anticipation began to build up inside of him, as well as an unwarrented sense of excitement. This was going to prove far more interesting than he had expected. But he knew that an Auror who took a situation too lightly was more likely to end up as a dead Auror. But he knew how to remain on his guard as well as be interested in the sudden turn of events. So he would wait, and see what this person would do now. More than likely they were waiting to see what he would do.

Finally impatience won over smarts and he demanded, "Are you gonna stay in the bleeding shadows all damn night?" He did not like not being able to see what he was up against after all.

Dear Angel, I feel so numb and so far away
I can see myself on the pavement where I lay
Oh Angel, why do I stare so? What do I see?
Why do these lifeless eyes look at way back at me?
