"I don't want help!" Dani snapped. "If we can have the damn kids, we can take care of them too!"

Well it was worth a try. Sean knew before the words had even left his mouth that she would not want help. Dani was too independent for help. Sure it was alright for Sean to help, he was the father, and the husband, but others were not allowed. Dani liked showing that she was capable of doing this, even though already knew that capability. "Alright, fine. It was just a suggestion." He said softly. Sean just shook his head when she apologized. Eh, so she yelled a bit, he was use to it by now.

"Oh thanks so much." He told her, rolling his eyes when he said he was horrible at baking cookies. Alright, so she was a bit right. Sean was good at cookie but baking wasn't one of his strengths. Sure he could make a decent cake or something when it was needed but Dani was far better at it then he was. He should have known better than to think she would let him take over anything having to do with cookies.

"Don't you dare! Tell me when you're already off work, and I'll try to get in then! I can't have you getting fired! We've just gotten married, and have Sophia already and a new baby on the way. If we can do anything at all to assure that they don't get angry at you."

Sean gave Dani an exasperated look. She was always thinking he was going to get fired. True he did get into trouble often at work but he really didn't feel as though his job were threatened. "Dani, work is very flexible about these things. They'll understand." Or so he hoped. He held up a hand though, knowing Dani was going to argue against that, "But, fine, if it helps ease your mind we can go in when I'm off work." It might be more difficult to schedule an appointment then but if it made Dani happy than they would make it work.

and I didn't lay down with her today, might have been a mistake."

The pointed, disapproving look that had permanently been on Sean's face when Dani had been pregnant with Sophia returned. "Maybe you should go and lie down then." He told her. If she was already getting tired than she would definitely need to get more rest this time round. They didn't need her getting on bed rest or anything of the sort this time again. Sean wanted Dani and the baby as healthy as possible.

"We ought to go upstairs, in case she wakes up. And I want to lay down, at least a little."

Sean nodded his head, approval shining on his face now. He allowed himself to be led out of the room and upstairs so they could be closer to where their daughter slept. "I'm sorry." was all he said about her discomfort. There wasn't really more that he could say. He couldn't really offer any help because there was nothing to be done for it. Sean lay on the bed with Dani although he was definitely not tired. He started when Sophia woke up but Dani beat im to it. He glared at her as she got up. When she returned the glare remained. "I could have done that." He told her, disapproval dripping from his tone, although it vanished a second later and he sighed. The worry was already starting up again.

Smiling as he sat next to mother and daughter Sean could not have been happier. He loved it when he was called daddy. He didn't know why but he just did. Sean leaned into Dani and kissed her cheek. "I love it. Sophia is going to be the perfect big sister." Oh man. This was really happening. Another child. A younger sibling to Sophia. It was so weird, yet Sean found himself growing excited. "So much for her being an only child for a while." A thought than came to Sean's mind that had his brow furrowing. "You didn't tell anyone else did you?"
