For a while he sat, hands working over her shoulders and down her arms in a repetitive attempt at a soothing movement, saying nothing at all as her sobs slowly quietened to little more than sniffles and his skin adjusted to the chill of the room and the tiles against his back. It seemed insane to push the issue when she was distraught, though now Jade was calmer there was no way Dara was prepared to leave the dingy bathroom without anything in the way or answers, or well, without the promise of getting them. Tugging his shirt from the day before off the top of the washing pile he wrapped it around his exposed skin, pulling Jade closer to him as he settled back against the wall before he changed his mind entirely. Helping her stand Dara lead his girlfriend from the room, settling her upon the bed whilst he disappeared into the kitchen for a glass of water. The sound of the tap was loud in the silent flat, even the city beyond the window seemed to have stilled to nothing more than the occasional car horn or mewling cat, most likely Pankhurst if the sheer level of haughtiness contained in the mewl was anything to go by.

Drinking deeply Dara returned to the bedroom before offering the water to Jade as he slipped under the still somewhat warm covers. Tugging the redhead closer to him he placed light kisses to her hairline, his hands resuming the movement up and down her arm.

"You can tell me, and you will feel better for telling me, no?" Again there was very little actual question to his words; it was more of a softly spoken demand, like a Healer who instructed his patient to do something painful for the greater good. Considering he had seen the oven was still standing with his own two eyes only moments before it was clearly not something as trivial as that, and well, Jade had never struck him as the type to get so wound up about nothing in particular.

His whole body shifted as he felt something brush against his feet, his concentration upon Jade momentarily broken as a low hissed escaped his lips at the feel of claws on flesh. Quite why Snugums had decided he was worth climbing all over Dara would never know, however he had learnt better than to try and fight with the cat even when it was over his own bed. Shifting, as the cat ended up curled in a ball at his back, Dara tucked a stray strand of hair behind Jade's ear before murmuring, "Talk to me."
