Cody had been making his hasty getaway after stealing something that his dance-partner seemed like she wanted to give him anyway when he almost ran into Davy. Had it not been Davy the teen would have been pissed, but after a five second conversation he found himself searching the school for their mutual friend. He hadn't even seen Noah at the Masque but knew he must have been there. Everyone had been there, even he himself had somehow managed to find a reason to show up.

"Probably down by that stump, you think?" he asked. "Bit of a bummer that the bloke missed the unmasking."
He gave Davy a nod and, stuffing his hands in his pockets against the chill headed farther out. The forest loomed ahead of the pair, dark and foreboding as always and for some reason his gaze was drawn to it, also as always. The moon was bright, it seemed, until they needed it to be as clouds scudded overhead darkening the lawns and making the whole affair seem impossible. If he was worried, he didn't show it, and he was beginning to be. The teen was about to call out his name when the clouds parted and the moon brightened over a figure became visible on the forest edge.

Slumped and unmoving, Cody hesitated trying to make it out before nudging Davy with one hand and running that towards it. "Noah?" He called out ahead. Then, when it became clear it was their missing friend he slid down next to him, half on his hip and turned him over.
