He knew she'd break the kiss first for one simple reason: he had no intention of stopping before she did. He had to work hard to bring his mind back from the paths it had been roaming, something he'd never had to struggle so hard to do. As much flack as he took from Josh and so many other male (and female) friends about his lack of obvious sexual prowess, he'd never let them drive him to be more or less than he was. Today, at this moment, he rather wished that Wynne weren't such a woman of virtue as he leaned his face into the soft touch of her hand.

"Don't worry about that," he said quietly, taking her hand and pressing the palm back to his cheek. "What time - and where - should I meet you on Sunday?"

They would take this her speed; he was determined to stick it out.
