The farthest you could get from the dungeons were the towers. It wasn't that Trent was necessarily hiding...okay, he was. But his brothers, well one brother - Alexander to be exact - was in a foul mood and was deciding to take it out on Trent. He had barely escaped, with nothing more but a slap upside the head before he had made the get away. He didn't understand why his brother was blaming him that they had been caught and kicked out of the library. It wasn't fault Alexander was being forced to study with him.

There father thought it would foster a better relationship between the adoptive brothers if they spent more time with each other. Studying, what Alexander hated beyond belief, was his way of having the boys bond. Of course that didn't keep the two from arguing. Trent didn't think it was wrong that he had gotten his homework done first...but it was unfair that his brother had tried to force him to do his homework for him, even if he was two years older. When he told him so, and his Alexander proceeded to throw a book at him, the two were kicked out.

Rather than going back to the comm room to be further tortued, Trent escaped to the towers. His shoulder bag was loaded pretty heavily and slapped against his leg a bit painfully, but he ignored it. It was easier to ignore with a distraction, a distraction that came in the form of his fellow house and year mate.

He had turned the corner and found Dakota there. "Uh, hey," he mumbled the other boy. He found it rather odd that the other boy was just standing around, as though waiting for something. "Right, just heading up." Trent point to the remainder of the staircase that wound higher and proceeded past Dakota before retracing his steps and looking out the open window. "We wouldn't be spying on the Ravenclaw practice, now would we?"
