He wasn't sure what the thrill of quidditch was, but the thrill and appeal was definitely there. And it seemed that it was more so than any other sport. Perhaps it was the speed one could feel because of the broom. Or perhaps it was the danger involved that was the excitment. Whatever it was, it seemed to nourish those who were competitive. Quidditch players were looked up to, respected - except for a few rare exceptions - and that was what allured Trent to the sport. Of course it did look rather fun. He had played before, with his brothers, when they needed an extra player at home. They never tried out, though, they didn't think they needed it to get the attention of others. It was too much work and they just didn't have the discipline.

" It is always amazing how often the obvious is missed and common sense is tossed to the side."

Trent gave Dakota a small grin and nodded his head. "Wise words," he replied and then laughed. "If it was someone not on a team they wouldn't mind...but whose to say we didn't pay them off to spy on us?" He raised a brow at that conjecture. "Actually that's no a bad idea...then again, I'm not even on the team, so it would do me no good...though...'" he thought for a moment. "Knowledge is a good commodity. I could always sell it." Not for money, but for respect, or at least something close to it.

Leaning against the wall and still watching the team play, he looked at Dakota and nodded again. "True. You have to really try hard to get any decent information about another team around here. I wonder how recruits ever get anyone right from Hogwarts if they can't watch us all that much." Not that he was...okay, well he had thought about playing professionally, but hadn't every boy?

Yes. Slytherin was going to need some new players. "They're loosing a fair amount. I wonder who'll be made captain next year." He had no idea. Then the topic moved to positions. Trent frowned. He hadn't really thought about it. He glanced at the pitch again and shrugged. "Any really. I think beater would be a lot of fun - less stressful then the others, but I don't think I have the body type." He blushed slightly at that, hating how small he was. "Seeker would probably be best for my build...and I'm pretty decent at it...my brothers made me play it...because then they could beat and take turns trying to knock me out..." Trent rolled his eyes, winced, and then looked straight at Dakota. "Uh, ya...probably shouldn't of told you that...ignore it." No need for people to know how bad his brothers were. "What about you?" he asked quickly. "What would you want to play?
