Dakota did not even nod when Trent mentioned his words were wise. Of course he had not meant to sound wise when he said it, though acknowledge it would make more of a point that were probably wise enough for someone to remember. Even if he would not mind if his housemate remembered them as wise was a rather good association to have connected to oneself.

Then Trent had go on and say things that made no logical sense in Dakota's head. As to Dakota observing things always held value. With now he had decided to consider trying out for the team next year. Dakota said " Or offer them not to sell it. Thus keeping any good information you found which might be wise if you are thinking of trying out next term." Of course the advice he just gave Trent probably would hand Trent an advantage if the boy tried to use it. However Dakota was rather sure if someone blatantly showed up and watched a practice the team practicing would make sure nothing worth seeing was seen.

Dakota did not have to wonder that hard how people were recruited from Hogwarts. As he heard enough stories of how exactly it happened since his mother was recruited from Hogwarts. Dakota said " Most games have at least one recruiter at them or a player that comes back to see there old house team which is much the same. " Then people naturally talked and word of a prospect traveled. In his mothers case it traveled rather far to Wales where her first team was located if he remembered correctly. Dakota said " Or at least that was my mothers observation."

Naturally when Trent mentioned wondering about how people became professional quidditch players he had no clue that Trent actually was curious for his own use. As he had never really seen his housemate play. Though he might want to remedy that situation if they were both considering trying out for the team. As for captain he had rather little thoughts on the subject so he just shrugged. Probably Teddy who was a year above him would somehow try for the position as he tended to think rather highly of himself. As for the others he had no guesses. Anyway it turned out it would probably be interesting.

Trent was considering beater along with seeker. His eyes briefly gave his housemate a once over. Contrary to popular belief beater did not have a body type that lead to success in the position. It just had one that deluded others into thinking they might be successful at it. Then there was seeker that did have a slight advantage of being smaller for a body type, though bigger could also have it's advantages. Not that he was going to correct his housemate. Dakota said " Maneuverability is important for a seeker and it sounds like you have some practice dodging bludgers. Plus the fact you let them means you have some confidence they would not hit you." Though the wince and retraction of the comment did not seem like it went well. So he added " Chaser uses much the same skill set as seeker."

As if the boy was prone towards wincing trying out as beater next year would probably not be good for Trent. Since he would if things were tough in tryouts purposely aim bludgers at other beaters. Mostly as it did work rather well for his mother in her quidditch playing days as beaters never expected it. He might feel bad at aiming one at Trent as he did rather like his dorm mate. Dakota said " Never held much interest in playing the game myself. " Not exactly a lie, but his disinterest in playing it had little to do with his disinterest in playing the game itself. Dakota continued " Probably either chaser or beater as I would not be the only one of them on the pitch. Plus I have little interest in chasing something small that reflects light around the pitch on a sunny day."
