Davy liked dreams and he loved dreamers. He was, himself, a dreamer after all. He listened, without so much a hint of anything but interest on his face as she talked about her dream and then went on to explain that she was sure she'd not make it straight off. He nodded at that; dreams seldom did come true overnight, after all.

"Sounds like you've got things well in hand," he smiled, taking a sip of his drink. "Nail those NEWTs and you'll be on top of things come July," he commented.

She turned the conversation to him and he laughed, settling back comfortably into his chair. "I want to be part of the weather team for Magical Maintenance," he said. "I just have to start down at the bottom cleaning loos and dumping trash. I'm paid well enough and I'm learning a lot. It's a bit tedious, admittedly. However, I'm possibly getting a promotion. At least, the gossip going around is that someone is. Hopefully, that's me," he added.

He'd been working hard, taking extra shifts when he could and always putting his best effort forth. The hope that it would gain him that coveted promotion were high. Beyond the raise he'd gain, which was not at all unimportant, it was a step away from loos and a step towards the coveted weather control unit.

"And then, on my days off, I do work as a clown at kids birthday parties." That wasn't a huge thing. Yet. In fact, he'd only done it twice, but he had loved it and was looking for a way to get himself doing that more.
