Trent scratched at his head and shrugged. "Ya, but they're still there...you always have to play great then. No bad days." It was a lot of pressure. Quidditch wasn't about having fun. At first it might be but then you would be sucked in to the rivalry of it all. Trent wasn't all that competitive....okay not in the sporting type competitive but he did want to get a head in life, ahead in school, and so he supposed that that meant he was a competitive person. Trent took a deep breath and nodded. "Not think about it....right..." he said said, shaking his head. Like that was going to happen now. He gave his...friend? a small smile. "No pressure, right?"

He raised a brow and then grinned. "Right. Not spying." He screwed his face up for a different word they could use. There were so many...which to choose? He glanced back at Dakota and pointed him. "You're...we're observing." He nodded as though it were the most genius thing he had ever said. Which he knew that it wasn't. But still...it was a pretty good word.

"I'll be there for you at try-outs. Now the important thing is getting you ready to succeed at them."

Trent was grateful for the support. He nodded his head. "Just don't tell anyone," he said quietly, wanting it to be a secret. A puzzled look then fell across his face. He ran a hand through his hair. "Getting me ready? How?" Like training or something like that? How could they keep it a secret then? Then again, Trent did need to practice if he wanted to be a seeker. Shoot. He had decided without meaning to. Oh well, Seeker it must be....unless he changed his mind and opted for Beater....which, knowing him, he would change his mind a million times.

"...Since as beater one has to coordinate holding the bat and flying. As well as ones body movement when they swing to ensure the swing does not alter ones flight direction."

"And they have to work well with the other beater," Trent pointed out, catching on quickly to what Dakota was thinking. "True. You need strength, aim, agility, coordination...ya..." his voice sounded distant as he thought about it and tried to picture him being a beater. All he could see what him swinging the bat and missing the bludger, hitting his teammate on accident with the bat, or falling off his broom as he attempted a swing. He winced. "Maybe that's not the best...hmmm, I'll have to think about it."

Seeker though. It seemed that Dakota felt that that would eb a good pick for Trent. "True, but they still have to avoid the bludgers." He thought about it for a second before amending that thought ."Though if the team has good beaters, then the seeker shouldn't have to worry about it." For a second Trent's vision strayed to the pitch again. It was too far away to really tell who was who but he saw a fair amount of mistakes, but about the same amount of good moves as well.

"I'll have to practice over the summer...I doubt my brothers will want to help. They'd probably laugh." He sighed. "Oh well, it'll be a good surprise for them when I try out." So he had gone from if to when. Looks like he couldn't avoid it. He really would be trying out. There were plenty of positions open at least.
