It was good to confide in someone about his intentions to try out for the quidditch team. Not that he had really confirmed the plan with himself, at least not until he began talking about it. It would be embarassing for such news to reach his brothers, who would ridiculte him from the get go about it. Secretly he hoped they would be thrilled and proud but he knew that they wouldn't. But Trent very much doubted that Dakota would have a tell-all field day with others about what Trent was planning. What Trent was planning wasn't really important enough for others to know.

"Forget about exams?" Trent asked, when Dakota was sitting down as well. He raised a brow, a mystified look on his face. He couldn't forget about exams. He had to do well. He wanted all O's and E's on his exams and so he put in the hours to get them. It took a lot of work, but Trent knew that money couldn't buy his marks, that he wanted to prove himself to others, and that he actually wanted to earn what he went after. "Not likely."

" If you get two you should probably bring them both here just incase. As there isn't much worse than using a school broom. "

Trent thought about it for a moment before nodding. "Good point. I could get one for practice and one for matches. Same make and all, you know? So I won't get use to one at practice and then have a completely different feeling one for the game." He knew that if he were to get use to one and then use another that that could prove to be a disaster. No, he would get the same make, break both of them in, and then save one especially for games. Yes, Sheldon would approve of that. He would think that his son was smart and Trent was pleased just thinking about it.

He laughed along with Dakota, feeling good about his decision to try out for seeker. Not that he had really...oh who was he kidding? He was totally going to be trying out for seeker. He had the coordination and the build and the eye sight for it. He wasn't necessarily amazing with pressure, but he was ambitious, determined. If he wanted something, he went after that. Maybe that would help him procure the position. Of course as well as skill too.

"Plus it would be great practice. As at tryouts you have to assume if anyone else tries out for seeker there is a chance they have bribed the beaters to knock you out of the competition. "

Eyes widening, Trent stared. "Students do that?" He didn't know some took it quite so seriously. Of course at the professional level he could see it, but at school? That was hard to believe. Then again, he knew that Kalle probably would do it if he could get away with it. Who knew....maybe he had done it and gotten away with it.

"Though most of our housemates probably think to highly of themselves to think of that. "

Trent felt a bit easier about the whole affair at that. "True," he agreed after a moments hesitation. He said the word slowly as he thought of a reason as to why that must be true. "I mean..well...ummm," he didn't know why it would be true. "I guess people wouldn't like to admit that they needed to stoop that low." He shrugged and blushed, feeling like an idiot for not really knowing what to say to that.

Then Dakota suggested sometihng that made Trent feel a lot better about the whole situation. "That would probably be smart, having an house elf watch. Knowing my brothers, if I were injured, they would just leave me out there without telling our father." Trent winced and then coughed slightly, once again feeling stupid. Their family was suppose to be a connected family, to be looked upon with others as an example. And here was, making it out that they were a divided family. "I mean...well, you know...as a joke of course." Trent laughed uneasily. "They would come back for me eventually....once they realized I was seriously injured...they would never just leave me out there," his tone had become a bit frantic as he back peddled, trying to put his brothers and therefore his family in a better light.
