" Probably would take work to actually fail." True. He didn't have a point. You would really have to try. And besides, if you didn't do your work, you just ended up in trouble and Trent didn't think anyone could handle being in trouble every day. Well, there were a few, but he secretly would be surprised if they passed any ways. Trent knew that those who truly cared about their marks worried about failing, but, even though he worried that himself, he didn't think it was highly probable. He knew at least a bit about everything to get him the worst mark possible, at the very least.

So, when Dakota asked if he had ever heard of someone being held back, he had to think about it for only a second before shrugging. "Actually, I haven't." Hmmm, that was odd. He was sure that at least someone at Hogwarts had to be bad enough to be held back. "First time for everything though, right?" Of course he wanted to add that it would probably be him, but he was suppose to be confidant in his skills, not worried about anything, so he kept that fear to himself. He started to relax more around Dakota. He knew he should play the part of a pureblood but Dakota didn't really seem to care all that much about who his family was, and for that, Trent felt he was able to relax.

"Though a bonfire with them after NEWTs might be. "

"It will make me feel  better after seven years of stress," Trent said with a slight smile. It did sound good, though he probably wouldn't go through with. He would probably end up needing his old textbooks at some point.

Don't think I will miss the seventh years this year much. "  Trent raised a brow. He wasn't expecting that. He shrugged again. "I don't really know anyone of them that well." Save for the purebloods of course. "Well, only those whose families are friends with mine." He shrugged, as though to say that didn't mean he would miss them.

" I suspect quidditch will tryouts will be harder than the exams. Not that tryouts should be that hard. You'll do fine."

Trent became nervous and apprehensive again. Exams were hard enough. His eyes widened slightly though he tried to keep his cool. "You think so?" he asked uncertainly. "But aren't they like a different kind of hard? I mean, tryouts are physical and exams are mental." His brows scrunched together. Hmm, maybe he would have to work up his endurance or something like that. Trent tipped his head back and glanced upward at the window, his eyes toward the pitch that he couldn't see. "I've only watched tryouts once. Are they the same every year?" Then again, Dakota wasn't trying out, though he wondered if that meant he never watched try outs then.
