He just nodded agreeing that it would take some work. His eyes blinking slightly as some dust floated into them. He naturally hoped that Trent would not interpret anything from his actions. As it was in his nature to think over everything and miss the simple fact that blinking was a human reaction that did not always have a meaning.

A first time for everything was probably true. Dakota said " It probably already happened not that I am asking Dumbledore about it." As in Dakota's estimation the headmaster might be the only one old enough in the castle to even remember.

At least there were better thoughts. Like the images of his textbooks burning in a bonfire. A smile crossing his face as he wondered if any of his books would make strange colors in the fire. Even more important would the care of magical creatures books scream. Maybe he wouldn't burn that one just incase. As the last thing he wanted was a on fire book chasing him. Dakota said " Might spare the creatures one as it might jump out of the fire and try to chase me. "

A raised brow was never a good sign. As it meant he had said something that was noticed to be odd. Of course as he thought about the seventh years he was rather sure they hardly knew of his existence with a few exceptions. Though as Trent brought up in the wizarding world there was a strong connection among families. He had to try to think of a way out of this. Though thankfully he did not have to think much as yet again quidditch served as his perfect distraction.

Dakota said " Never watched the Hogwarts tryouts for Slytherin. " As he realized that lying about having seen a Hufflepuff tryout or two might not work. Even if he was rather sure he was never caught spying on them to write his mother about the team. However he was rather sure his mother may have mentioned her son sending information on on her old houses team. A team he was rather sure his mother would still cheer for if he was on the pitch.

Then he paused before continuing and said " Saw a few professional tryouts though when I was younger. " Perhaps that was showing off. Though he was sure that it would distract Trent from his mention of not seeing any Slytherin tryouts. Dakota said " They all go the same though, start with a demonstration one can fly to a certain skill level. The better the team the harder the opening flying drill is. Eliminate the ones who cannot fly. Then move onto position based tryouts, as a good flyer can be made into a great player. The opposite not so much. "

off-hand answers are often rather deceiving.
as there is usually a reason they were not washed away
