Trent put his head back against the wall and closed his eyes. He was still listening to Dakota though. He would never dare close his eyes while speaking to another, not wanting them to think he was being rude. But he was pretty sure that Dakota wouldn't be insulted or anything. He nodded. He wouldn't ask Dumbledore either. "I feel like he can see right through me. I mean, I've never had a personal conversation with him...but still..." He just had that look in his eye that made Trent nervous.
" Might spare the creatures one as it might jump out of the fire and try to chase me. "

His brow furrowed and then he opened his eyes and laughed. "I didn't even think about that. Smart thinking...I would hate to be chased down by a vindictive book." He laughed at his little joke and shook his head. That was what he loved about the magical world. So many interesting things that made even books for class an adventure. Trent couldn't imagine attending a normal muggle school. Well, he had when he was younger, but still....nothing beat Hogwarts.

"Hmm...I should have watched more tryouts...I would have a better idea of what to expect then." Trent worked for what he wanted and if he couldn't get it he lied to get it, or he bought it. Well, he didn't think he could lie his way onot the team and he didn't think he could buy his way onto the team....unless he bribed the captain.

For a second Trent stared. "You've...you've seen an actual professional tryout?" he asked, sounding amazed, though he tried to appear unphased by it. It clearly wasn't working. He hung onto Dakota's every word, committing everything to memory the best he could. Okay, improve flying and then focus on the specifics. Got it. He could do that. He would work on his flying technique...his speed, turning abilities, everything.

"Hopefully tryouts here are the same....that would just be brilliant then." He was still amazed at what Dakota knew about tryouts....professional tryouts. He shook his head, clearly impressed and a bit jealous.
