Somehow Trent didn't think his father would rather like the idea of him just burning his books. But what was the point of keeping them if they were never going to be used? Besides, it would make him feel better after having to use them for seven years at school. He could only imagine what a wizarding book might do to service such a burning. It seemed that more or less everything in the wizarding world was live in someway, with a mind of its own. " At least we have some time to watch if people make mistakes in potions class. As I am sure a lot of people accident burn books then. " "True," Trent agreed, nodding. "Smart thinking." Potions class would be perfect. All sorts of things were used there. It was the perfect place to determine what a book could withstand and what it could not. For the fact alone that the effects the book presented when set on fire Trent felt it would be fun to have a burning ceremony. "The Catapults?" Trent knew enough about the team to know how good, or how not good the team was. It didn't matter to him though. A professional quidditch team was a professional quidditch team. "That's bloody wicked!" he exclaimed with a grin. "You sure are lucky." Trent wondered why he hadn't heard about this before, but then he realized, Dakota probably didn't tell a lot of people, otherwise the whole school would probably have talked about it at some point or another.
Talk turned to actual quidditch positions though and there Trent felt he had some insight to add. “Yeah, being a good flyer doesn’t necessarily mean you are a good Seeker. Different skills for different positions. In the end, you need to be a decent flyer anyways….captains should focus on skills that match positions…stay open minded.” He shrugged. It was a downfall to assume that the best flyer was the best Seeker. The best flyer could have the strength for a great Beater but no one would know if they were put into another position.
Trent drew his legs in and wrapped his arms around it. He glanced down the corridor, wondering if his brothers would find him here, and then pushed that thought to the back of his mind.
Again, he agreed with Dakota. “I don’t understand why captains here try and switch things up. Just keep a player in the position he’s good at…it makes sense to me at least,” he said quietly, wondering perhaps if he was talking too much or saying anything stupid. He probably was. Trent internally sighed, wishing he knew for a fact that was he was saying had some worth to it.
