RIP: Elphias James Haddock IV 11/9/1979
Were Elliot to be aware of how the Slytherin regarded him, he'd have been caught in a moment of sheer confusion. The history of the Burke family wasn't a secret, anymore than his own second cousin's history was secret and yet, Elliot would have missed the irony that just as he wanted to be judged on his own merit, so did Damon. Instead, he viewed the Slytherin with the same contempt he held for the late Elphais Haddock IV.
It would be a pleasure, a sheer pleasure, to duel this wizard. A pure joy.
Rolling his shoulders, he shifted his balance to the balls of his feet, adjusted his grip on his alder wood wand and, on the word go, he twisted his wand in a flourish as he shouted out his own spell: "Stupefy!"
