"Brilliant, Haddock."

An instant scowl drew to his face when he first heard the words before he was aware that there was no hint of sarcasm laced in the comment. His gaze landed on the youth and he didn't say a word as he listened. He hardly knew the young lad, at least not beyond his name. It was clear, as the lad spoke, that he had some pretty good ideas.

"That's a clever idea," he agreed. "Gryffindor is far more likely to pull something as stupid as a prank on the first go," he added.

"What if we're caught?"

Turning his attention to Tanai, he frowned the slightest. "What's the worst pranksters get? A detention? Some lines? A few loss of points? Ultimately, not much. Besides," he gave a grin, "we're all far too clever to get caught."
