Gabriel never knew if his patients were telling him the truth about how much pain they were in. Aurors were the worst. They tried to be tough and act like it was no big deal. Often times it only made things worse for them because obviously he couldn't treat them properly. Gabriel explained this to his auror patients so many times he could recite it in his sleep. Some listened, some didn't. Jack was slowly getting there. Or at least Gabriel was knew JT enough to interpret what he was saying into how much pain he really was in. Sometimes it was just the potions though. Sometimes the patient would want the work to begin before it could fully set in. Aurors. Gabriel tried not to roll his eyes at the thought. At least JT was being somewhat reasonable this time.

When it came to the worst part of the healing process, he tried his best to be quick like Jack ask. Gabriel wouldn't go too fast though. He didn't want to make a mistake after all. As he worked, the healer kept glancing up at his patient, but JT had a mask on making it difficult for him to figure out if he was in pain or not. Gabriel got his answer, though, when Jack accepted the potion at the end. He rarely did that. "You're trouble," he told the auror, scolding him as though he were a two year old.

He nodded his head as the man "praised" his work. Gabriel then shrugged. "Okay....let me write you a prescription for some potions to help with the pain. The smaller one you need to take in the mornings a half an hour after you eat. The larger one you take a small sip of it, up to two times a day, when the pain is especially bad." Gabriel wrote the prescription down and handed the small tab to Jack. "Stay off the leg for at least the rest of the day, and if you can help it, most of tomorrow. I know you don't want to be back here too soon. I'm not that good of company," he joked lightly, offering the other man a small smile.
