She wanted to throw up. That was her first thought as she let the doors close behind her. She stopped for a moment, her hands tight around her middle, as she was sure she was going to lose the contents of her stomach right then and there. She didn't, though. Instead, she took a deep breath and pressed the heels of her palms against her eyes to keep herself from crying. Mission accomplished, she decided that maybe she'd head off to her first class of the morning, even if she was going to be a good bit early.

She'd not made it far when she heard the doors to the Great Hall open and quickly ducked behind a statue at the foot of the steps. She watched Nat, almost stepped out, but he took off quick enough before, unsurprisingly, Sioni appeared. She watched him for a long moment, her heart pounding and the tears pressing again, before she made herself move.

"Sioni?" she said, her voice wavering too much.
