Without even knowing it, Gloria Watkins had hired the best spy in all of Ravenclaw house, and possibly all of Hogwarts, to accompany her on this mission. Lisette was simply a natural. In addition to being incredibly small, fairly quick, and frequently nosy, she also had a lot of practice spying on people (for example: older sisters, parents, next door neighbors, and small toads). She was good at this spying thing, which she was happy to admit considering all of the things she'd realized she wasn't so good at since coming to Hogwarts (for example: making friends, making decisions and making thimbles into walnuts).

She liked Gloria, since she liked anyone who could appreciate the subtle art of whispering into ears, and she was honored to have been asked to accompany her on this mission to, erm... someplace... mostly to make sure that she didn't die. If Gloria got murdered then Lisette would have to go back to having no friends again. She didn't have much of an interest beyond that. She hated Valentine's Day. There was so much pink involved – she just wanted to throw up every second of the whole day.  If someone gave her a rose she would have probably just puked. She liked this part, though. Spying on people was basically the opposite of Valentine's Day, if you really thought about it. Well, kind of. It was cool, at least.

”But you have to promise not to leave me alone, okay? Will you pinky swear?”

“Mmhmm,” she replied as they moved on from the classroom door and walked down the corridor, in the direction of, uh, wherever they were going... maybe. Spying skills and Not-Getting-Lost skills were two very different things. “Maybe I can go in first and hide behind something?” she suggested in her quiet but impossibly high little voice. “And I can see who it is and then sneak out tell you?” If being really small was good for anything it was hiding – hiding and sneaking... and getting tripped over, but if you were hiding that usually didn't happen.
