“Certainly not you,”

"Well, youdon'thave to be rude aboutit," she told him, frowning before grinning. She heard his tone, saw his body language and so she knew that Nigel was not wanting to spend time with her right now. In fact, she knew that he wasn't wanting to spend time with anyone in this moment. That was why he was the perfect candidate to help her fix the boredom that had crept into her life. Her brother would not have called Nigel a candidate, more like one of her victims. He could attest to how she could get when bored.

“It’s not a love note. It’s homework. So, if you don’t mind…”

"If it's not a love note, than why can't I see it? Whyareyou hiding it fromme?" she asked him. "You know, peoplethat hidethings are probablyhiding them because theyare bad. Are youdoing something bad? Is she already taken? Thismystery woman thatyou are writing?" Amber moved closer to Nigel once more, determined to not let him escape. "Come on." She poked him in the arm. "Tell me." She poked him two more times. And then three times. "Ibet it's to me." She grinned. "I'mflattered, Nigel, I reallyam. But I am alreadyspoke for. I don't thinkQunlan would be too happy that you aretrying to steal his girl.'

Amber kept poking him in the arm with the point of her finger as she spoke. It was what her brother hated the most that she would do to him. Well, that or she would just stare at him without saying anything. That was always fun too. Amber mostly liked bothering people because it meant that she was no longer bored. She also did it because people told her not to, and when someone told her not to do something, it only made her want to do it all the more.
