There were nights that were totally chaos for the hospital. Last night had been one of those nights. It wasn't even a decent full moon to blame this kind of crazy to be going on. Silence had completed seventeen hours of her twelve hours sift. Yes her focus was working with kids, but today in the midst of the crazy Silence was doing what ever she could to help out. She passed on three charts to a passing medwitch, giving orders like she was more than just a healer-in-training. Because this morning it was all hands on deck.

"Excuse me..."

The voice sounded vaguely familiar, but she didn't look up. There were patients to check on, and at some point she needed to get home and take her potions. They started wearing off after twenty hours and it had been exactly eighteen since she'd taken them. If she didn't finish her work, she would be stuck here. That would do no good for anyone, least of all her patients.

"Um, sorry could you..."

"Arnie is here again?" Silence sighed. She'd just gotten him packed up and sent back home last week. "What did he do this time?" Maybe it was time to get a consult from the mental health people. He could just be crazy. Arnie was a nightmare, but Silence had delt with him enough in her time training as a healer that she felt like he was more her patient than her supervisors. She was the one who ended up chasing him around the hospital all night anyway. "Get him back to his usual bed, and tell his parents I'll be up to see them as soon as possible."

"Excuse me I need someone to look at..."

She tucked Arnie's chart under her arm, and turned to head down the hall, when the familiar voice started shouting. Maybe it was the time between the potions, but her temper was short for people who were yelling at very busy healers when obviously the hospital was going nuts.

"Is there anyone who works here that can tell me where to go!"

"You don't need to shout." Silence snapped. "We can hear you. Your child clearly has physical damage not spell damage, so he…. Oh Hi Kalle!" She said finally registering the face that went with the voice, and in a moment her attitude flipped. She knew him from her previous pureblood life. She knew his family. They'd gone to school together. She couldn't be angry with him, even if she'd always heard he was kind of a jerk. "How are you? Um…" She drummed her fingers on the top of the chart in her hands. "We'll take a look at your friend in here okay?" She offered, motioning to one of the rooms behind her. "Sorry about snapping, its been a night."
