Girls shouldn't play quidditch. That was a rather loaded statement. On the one hand Pete was totally wrong. The Holyhead Harpies always played really well and that was a team made up of only girl. Caitlin and Millie were fantastic players. While Nat was a little bias on the first one, no one could deny that Millie Skrumpkin was a kick ass seeker. Well, maybe someone who was blind and stupid, but that was a technicality.

On the other hand… No. There wasn't another hand Pete was just wrong. Playing with girls wasn't a weakness. Yeah, Nat was concerned about Caitlin's safety. And yes, he was more concerned about her safety than he was Derek's. But he wasn't more concerned about Cait than he was Pete. There was just less he could to concerning Pete's safety as they weren't playing Elbow to elbow during the match. If anything, playing with girls made Nat play better than if the team were made up of all boys.

"You're worried about playing Lindsay." Nat nodded. "And that's understandable. She's your girl, and you don't want her to get hurt." But honestly, Nat was more worried that Lindsay would hurt Pete. Physically. She was a good player. Nat didn't worry about her safety. She had a bat to defend herself. Now if she were a chaser, he should be worried. They just had to hope they could dodge well enough to not die. Dodging was way  harder than hitting things with a bat.

“If I’m not tough, though, everybody just slacks off even more.  It feels like I have to push twice as hard as I actually expect them to work.”

"Are we on the same quidditch team?" Nat asked with a smirk. "Because what quidditch team are you on where people slack off? Yeah Caitlin misses practice sometimes, but she's got to be so perfect all the time; her vanity won't let her slack off. Millie and Derek both do their part. You're crazy stressed about working at quidditch all the time. And then theres me. I'm just naturally awesome." He charmed three pebbles from the pile and tossed them out in to the pitch.
