Esperanza hadn't even considered that Sabrina's Mr. Holcombe would be here. She was more concerned with her own reasons for wanting to be there than her friend's reasons to not wish to attend. She could hear noise from down on the pitch, which seemed to be the teams stepping out in to the fog, but she could hardly see them. "Good Afternoon, Mr. Holcombe." Esperanza said with only a momentary glance at the boy.

“Espa, I was going to introduce Alexander Holcombe, whom I might have mentioned, but it seems you have met already.”

"I was unaware that you were on familiar terms with Mr. Holcombe." She smiled a little playing along with Sabrina's game. "I know his family. A very good family." And by good she really meant bad. But Esperanza's opinions of pureblood families was declining the more time she spent with them. She played the game well enough, though she tired of it.

“And Alexander was kind enough to keep me company and explain things. His brother is on the Slytherin team.”

"Oh?" Esperanza asked, feigning interest the Holcombe brothers. "Well, we would be delighted to have you join us. I'm supposed to be here watching for prospective talent coming out of Hogwarts next year, on behalf of Kaleb, but heaven knows I can't see a thing. Perhaps you could give us some real insight on the players?"

She didn't want Alexander's opinion. She didn't need Alexander's opinion. But if he could say he was there helping out Mrs. Broadmoor instead of visiting with Sabrina Sorelli, he could stay longer. And that would make Sabrina happy.

Espa hated the game, but she knew how it was played.
