“I like knowing where you are as much as possible,” Pete said, but he didn’t dismiss Caitlin’s idea out of hand.  Instead he took another bite and chewed it slowly, considering.  “How would we follow eachother in the gaps?” he asked.  “If we lost track of each other, we’ll have a lapse when we try to pull it back, won’t we?”  

Pete lodged the apple in his mouth for a moment while he reached around and tried to get the far part of his shoulder blade with the potion.  Finally he pulled the apple out of his mouth, frowning.  “Amber, would you help me with the potion over here,” he asked.  He turned his back to her, still reaching and trying to show her where he needed the ointment.  

“Where’s Millie?” he said suddenly.  “Millie come on over here so I don’t have to be loud, will you?”
