Sabrina wasn’t ready for Alexander, but she was proud of herself for still having enough poise to see him like this and not panic. She was determined not to panic in any case, and especially not when she saw him in Hogsmeade, but it wasn’t going to be easy. She halfway thought it would be a good idea to have Esperanza come along for moral support, but you did have old friends with you when you declared undying love to someone.

Not usually, anyway.

“So, Alexander, how is your term going? And Trent? I hope you are able to help him out from time to time, now that I’ve moved on to other things?” Of course, it wasn’t like Alexander didn’t know what those other things were. And he probably knew that Espa knew, so the whole pretense of not being lovers was recognized by everybody present, but Sabrina wanted to demonstrate that she could play the pureblood game as well as the next girl. And as the next girl was Espa, that was saying something.

“Do you still go into Hogsmeade for the free weekends?” She asked as casually as possible. “ I know some seventh years don't always bother. You were so generous to me that time over lunch.” There. That should be enough of a clue to make sure he’d be at the Three Broomsticks at noon. “My, it all seems so long ago now. I remember speculating about the upstairs private dining rooms.” She hoped that wasn’t too obvious. But then, who was listening? Only Espa, and it was her idea in the first place.
