He set the orange down so that he could work her muscles along her shoulders with both hands; Shane had never felt like being a beater was in his blood, he’d never been able to get behind taking a jab at someone from that far away. No, Shane much preferred the showy position of Chaser, and occasionally being called for cobbing when someone took an elbow just a little too literally.

But he couldn’t help but notice that Lindsay’s shoulder was tense, a little like she was carrying all of the last four hours on that one side, so Shane decided to give it the attention she’d given his. Which was warming the muscle and kneading it into submission. He couldn’t imagine that she’d be holding up for another four hours if it didn’t get some attention, he’d been distracted trying to figure out the correct amount of pressure to have the muscle relax when he heard her groan and he smiled. He may not have been an expert, but it seemed that Lindsay didn’t mind.

“Feels good right?” He laughed when she apologized, that was funnier than the moan in his opinion. And so he worked, continuing down her arm when Max was answering his question about how long they’d be stuck in the locker room. Chomping at the bit to get back on their brooms.

“I’d rather just get back out there and finish up than sit around in here…”

“Tell me about it.” Shane ran his hand up along Lindsay’s neck, catching and rubbing the corded rope of muscle from the base of her skull as he helped her stretch it to the side, pressing his thumb just under her hair line. Though he paused when Sioni was telling them it was time to get back on the pitch, he would have let go of his own accord, and had planned on it before he was removed bodily by Shay and had to step back and away from Lindsay before they were both knocked over by a bounding and bouncing seeker.

He tried to look over at Lindsay to tell her that he thought she’d been good to go and to thank her also for loosening him up. But Shay was dancing around with her arms up in the air, which had his eyebrows lifting with surprise.

"Hear that? Game's on again....We're gonna win, we're gonna win,"

The boy had no idea what had gotten into her, but it was a little contagious; that crazy energy. He barely had time to scoop up his broom at the door as she tugged him along, Shane looking back over his shoulder at Lindsay with a worried look as he was taken away and she was told to hurry.

Shane was already laughing again at Shay though as they ventured back out into the fog, it was no less thick than the last time they’d been on the pitch, it still was going to be hell to play in.

“Okay! Okay! Save some of that energy for the snitch!” Shane squeezed her hand before letting go, looking back at Max and T.J.

“Alright, Guys. Our passing game is shite today. But we’ll step it up, if we can see each other, plan on passing the quaffle, if you have a Gryffindor on you. Let us know, we’ll play tighter we need to get this won so we can celebrate, yeah?
