Easily, this was the biggest fight they had ever had. She'd never said anything close to what had come out of her mouth at this point and she almost wished she could take it back, at least until he got nasty. Then she grew all the angrier, the tears falling faster; she'd stopped fighting them at all.

"No! I won't go. Did I say I regret knowing you? I don't!" she said, moving around to face him, her wet eyes narrowed. "I didn't not have fun with you! I did have fun, but that's the thing! I had fun, but I know you always want more from me and I don't want more! Not from you. Not from any guy! I never wanted a boyfriend and I don't know how you - or Trent - ever happened, but don't you think, for even a minute," she said, her voice low, "that I don't care about you! Why do you think this is so bloody hard for me? You're the best friend I have ever had, Sioni! But, I...I just...I can't be what you want. Not anymore!"

She wiped at her eyes then, and turned to walk away. She'd had her say; he would have to do with it what he would. He probably hated her now and that, she knew, was something she'd have to live with.
