Amber hated being bored. The only way to not be bored was to find something to do. And when that failed she had to get resourceful, and when that failed...well, it ended up with her going and bothering someone. Nigel was just another one of her victims and it was great because he was so easily bothered. It wasn't even fun almost. Okay, so it was, but he made it all too easy to give him a hard time. He had absolutely no patience whatsoever unlike her brother who, while not immune to her constant badgering, was able to withstand it for a lot longer than Nigel.

“I’m never going to graduate if you don’t let me finish my homework!”

Okay, she wasn't appreciating the attitude. Amber snatched the parchment back. "One assignment isn'tgoing todestroy you. You're unbelievable." NOW he wasn't making it any fun. Now she wanted to bother him not for her amusement but to annoy him even more than she already was. If he couldn't take a joke, then she wasn't going to make it a joke any more. She could be stubborn and difficult when she wanted. "Iam justgetting started."

She gave him a bitter laugh. "Violated? You makeitsound like I...forced myselfon you or something." Amber rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Ligthen up." It was an order. Or maybe an exasperation. It was a lot of things is what it was because Nigel was a lot of things. "Infant," she muttered, folding her arms.

Amber spread her arms. "Defend yourself fromwhat?! I haven't attackedyou!" First she had tried to talk to him simply. When that hadn't worked she had tried to bother him. Now she was trying to make him annoyed and understand that there was a difference between being attacked and being annoyed. Amber raised her wand at Nigel. "I willif you will." Because there was no way she was putting her wand away if he wasn't. She wasn't stupid or anything.
