Verbal abuse from the blonde girl had become par for the course and it rolled right off Todd like water off a duck's back. Rolling his eyes at her usual graphic suggestions, he was about to laugh when she confused him. Well, truth be told, she confused him often, but this time the confusion seemed to be far less purposeful. He halted in his steps, his broom falling from his shoulder to hang at his side as he stared after her, trying to figure out just what he was supposed to be laughing about.

She had gotten a good distance away and likely she thought her words had made the desired effect, when he jogged to catch up with her. Taking the risk of death, he slowed when he reached her side and walked a few steps with her before he looked askance at her.

"I don't have a clue what I'm supposed to be laughing about. I know you think you're the center of the universe, but you're not," he informed her, flinching just a touch as he said it.
