For some reason he nearly always forgot that his suggestions were never good enough. For some reason that never seemed to much matter as long as she didn't push him away completely. He laughed a short, burst of air and then shook his head as they moved through the castle.

"Of course not. Don't know what I was thinking. Stupid idea, really," he told her. What her idea was, on the other hand, he didn't see coming. It was one thing to actually sneak out to Hogsmeade when others were there, but to sneak out when it was nearing curfew and there weren't going to be any other students wandering about the village, that was a whole other thing. Even being a Gryffindor didn't somehow make him braver about such an endeavour and yet, when he caught her reflection in the mirror, when he saw the grin that spread across her face, he'd have said yes to anything.

"Will it keep that grin on your face if we do this?" he asked, moving around her and putting a hand on the edge of the mirror as his eyes studied her face closely.
