It wasn't his idea of a nice jaunt back to the castle but it would have to do. Alexander had other things on his mind than being annoyed by Henri. She was the least of his problems. Alexander wasn't one for panic. He was one for being calculative and smart, able to think his way out of situations. This one with Sabrina was going to require a bit more brain power than usual, but he was confident he would figure out a way around it, though he was sort of wondering how much he really wanted to try.

No. He mentally shook his head, not allowing himself to entertain such thoughts. Things were going to have to be figured out, things regarding marrying Stephanie whilst still having Sabrina in his life the way he wanted to be. And this was why purebloods became betrothed: So that love didn't get in the way of them doing what they needed to do to be successful.

As Henri walked beside him, he glanced toward her. Why his father thought she would be a good investment he didn't know but he wasn't going to waste any more time thinking about it. Like he had said, she was going to be his family which he was going to have to get used to her company. He might as well start now. She would probably be a good distracted.

“Lost him?....I’m quite sure Trent is capable of functioning on his own for an afternoon.”

"Trent is capable of a lot of things," Alexander said. It was true. He was capable of messing up a lot of things was what he was. He shook his head, hating that he had no way to have Trent out of his life. At least he was able to end this facade of pretending to care for him. He really didn't want to talk about his brother now, though. He would always be forever the last thing he wanted to talk about.

“How’s Sabrina doing? She looked lovely as ever, don’t you think?”

He stopped walking for a few seconds, shock writhing through his body. There was no way...but...shit. Alexander smoothed out the front of his shirt and spared a glance at Henri as he continued walking again. "Oh, you saw her too? Did you get a chance to talk to her? I didn't realize that you were friendly with her." He wasn't going to feign ignorance in having seen her, but he would deny any suspicions that she had if needs be.
