“Perhaps,” she replied curtly, her head tilting to the side so her dark ponytail swung back to the other side in that practiced girlish way. “What sort of agreement did you have in mind?”

This was what he was. A deal maker. He was presented a problem and he found a way to fix it. That's just how he thought. That's just how he had operated. It was why he liked having sources everywhere. It helped to have information on everyone so he knew what he was working with. So he tried to do that now, figure out what kind of agreement the two of them could come up with. The problem was, Alexander didn't know Henri all that well. He didn't know what made her tick.

So he started thinking about what he did know. Which was that she was basically blackmailing him and he didn't have anything against her. Nothing that he could hold over her head. She had done nothing wrong. Ever. Except for be a pain in the arse. Alexander knew that she liked Trent, but he couldn't very well threaten her with that. She would definitely go off and do her tattle-taling. But he couldn't threaten her either.

Her narrowed his eyes toward as he thought, tried to find a weakness, tried to come up with something that he could tempt her with that would get her off of his back. There was nothing though and the more he stood there, the more he couldn't come up with something. Finally he looked away swearing. Turning to Henri, he gave her a tight smile. "Okay, so...I think we can help each other. I don't want anyone to know about this...and I'm sure I can help you in some way. I have a lot of influence over my brother and with my father. We can work something out, figure something out that you want that I can arrange for you...okay? You understand? Just tell me what it is."
