It had taken her some time to find a job. She had looked both wizarding and muggle alike. Muggle won in the end though. It was just a small cafe in London. She would floo to the Leaky Cauldron and then it was only a couple of blocks away from there. Mostly she worked afternoons so she could spend morning and evenings with her mother or with some friends. Today was a busy day though and it had stressed Charity out a bit. Her shift was coming to an end though. Only like five minutes left. She wiped at her brow as she started to clear a recently vacated table.
It was easy work. Just put everything into a tub and carry it back to the kitchen to be washed. It made Charities arms sore but she was getting use to it. The pay wasn't too bad either. Not that Charity really acared about the money but still, it was nice to have some extra money just in case. Her mother hadn't wanted to get the job but Charity insisted and her mother eventually gave in, after Nic helped persuade her that this was a good thing. Charity heaved the tub up and then immediatly set it down. She took a deep breath. Her muscles hadn't been prepared for how heavy this particular load was.
