Dear Sabrina,
I'm sorry I haven't written you before now. I should have, but I've been… Well… I've been living with my brother down in London, and I guess you heard about the attack at St. Mungo's? I'm sure you have because it's been in the papers. Well, the Wizarding papers, not the Muggle papers, but you probably don't read the Muggle papers anyway, so that doesn't really matter. Anyhow, Raine and I were there because he had some Glumbumble bites or something, and I guess we were caught in the attack, but I don't really remember.
Hey, but Star Wars is out now at the cinema, and I hear it's really good. The Empire Strikes Back, it's called. I know we talked about going to it, but I don't know when I can. I'm supposed to stay in my brother's flat. Sometime soon, though, I hope I'll be allowed out, so if you're going to be in London later this summer, you should let me know.
I hope you're having a good summer holiday. I suppose I should have said that farther up in this letter, but it's too late for that now. Mine has mostly been spent with my brother, but his television is good, and he's got lots of books. I hate to say it, but I'll almost be glad to go back to school. At least then I'll get to see people I know. Well, I see my brother, but he doesn't count. And he doesn't even let me have my cat here with me. Something about being worried for his rat's safety or something, which is ridiculous because I can certainly control my own cat. Besides, his rat is in a cage, and my cat couldn't get it anyway. I suppose it's okay, though.
Like I said, sorry I didn't write before, but it's been kind of eventful around here. I hope you get this alright. I'm sending it with my brother because I don't have my own owl, and neither does he.
Archie
