Work had been hectic as of late what with the increased demands made by the need for further security and the near constant fear that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named could attack Gringotts at any moment. He looked forward to the end of the day and the quiet times he could spend with Michelle and Benjamin, but even that quiet time had become tense and strained. Discussion about building a new house on their property was Michelle's new favorite topic and one that he was only half-heartedly in favor of. It was, he argued often enough, a question of money.
With a hope to ease that tension - and just the plain old desire to be alone with his family - Luke had planned a trip to the beach for a weekend. He'd had to trade a few shifts with co-workers to get the time off, but it was worth the extra hours he'd had to put in.
Maybe he'd not gone about letting Michelle know in the proper way, but then she didn't have a job to work around and so he had rather much informed her that they were going to the beach for the weekend with only a three day notice. She'd gotten a tent from her father for the outing and Luke was now in the midst of setting it up while Benji was tottering about on fat legs wearing only a diaper.
"Belle, give me a hand with this," he asked, as he tugged on one end of the tent bag.
