The Hogwarts Express will leave from King's Cross station, platform nine and three-quarters, at eleven o'clock on September 2.

Uniform
First-year students will require:
- Three sets of plain work robes (black), House Crest will be added to left panel after sorting
- One plain pointed hat (black) for everyday
- One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)
- One winter cloak (black, silver fastenings)
- One tie in house colors
- Three grey wool slacks (boys)/pleated grey wool knee length skirt (girls)
- Three white shirt/blouse buttoned
- Five pairs black dress socks (boys)/black knee socks (girls)
- One pair black dress shoes (boys)/black closed toed shoes (girls)
