Witch Brutally Slain; Vampires Suspected by Seraphina Travers - January 13, 1987
In the beginnings of the blizzard that blanketed London and the surrounding areas, a body was found on the doorstep of a public house, The Euphoria. The victim was later identified as Eloise Rowle, 30, from nearby Hertfordshire. Rowle was found drained of blood with multiple lacerations on her body. Though the Euphoria Pub is a muggle pub, it’s proprietor is wizard, Brandon Feversham. Upon discovery of the body, he alerted the healers from St. Mungos despite the fact that the pub was full of muggles.
A young boy was the one to find to find the body. This leads this author to wonder about the irresponsibility of a parent who bring a child into a pub late at night but alas, that is another article in and of itself. ‘"She was holding out her hand and looked so scared. And then she didn't move anymore. And it was just her. By herself,” the young witness had to stay. What exactly the victim was doing in that part of London is unclear. None of the patrons of the pub were able to give much in the way of evidence.
A young auror, Alexandra Shacklebolt and a small team of CSI, arrived on the scene. The body was removed and the muggles had their memories erased. Shacklebolt had the following to say, “An investigation of what has been ruled a homicide has already been launched and a team of our best, both in the field and the lab, are working night and day to find justice for the victim and her family. This continues to be an active investigation and no arrests have been made at this time. The Auror Office is asking for the community’s help with any information pertaining to this incident.”
An eyewitness came forward and stated that he saw a vampire near the pub. The fact that the body was drained of blood gives strong evidence of the possibility of a vampire attack. Though one might wonder why exactly the body was found in such a public place among so many muggles? A warning perhaps? Maybe the vampire community are hoping for a breach of the Statue of Security? Are they putting all of our security at risk?
So many questions still need to be answered and I, dear reader, intend to keep you informed of every new development.
