Dumbledore had come to the meeting early in order to grab a few moments to speak in private with his brother, Aberforth, the owner of The Hog's Head. Unsavory sorts often populated the dreary confines of the pub, words and secrets shared that Aberforth, using means that Dumbledore did not care to ask or know of, would discover and pass along to him when he would come to visit. Thus far he had discovered a few very interesting bits of information that Dumbledore had been collecting. Things were coming to a head and soon, soon, he would step forward with those against the cause of Voldemort and they would do what they could to thwart the egomaniacs rise.
For now, however, he had a meeting of a much different nature and having vacated the back room he gave a pleasant smile to Flitwick, the diminuative wizard already seated at the far back table.
"Good evening, Filius. The others are, no doubt, on their way?"
"Oh yes. They are. I had to run a few errands myself and came into town a little earlier."
"Good, good," he said giving a wave at his brother to go ahead and bring round the drinks as he took a heavy seat across from the Charms Master. "According to Rabastan, a few Aurors will be in attendance as well. All for the better, really. I know that the students are getting weary of the heightened security. I do wish that we could allow them more freedom. Alas, that would only be to their detriment."
Filius gave a short nod, taking a sip of the mulled mead that had been set before him. "I've been asked by a number of students about charms designed to camoflague or render one invisible. They do it with such an aura of complete innocence thinking I don't read through their true intent. Fortunately, only a few of my students would be able to perform most of those charms even at NEWT level and that would take much instruction from me."
Dumbledore gave a low chuckle at that. "I can't say I blame them. Were I in their place, I would be chomping at the bit myself to break a few rules just to gain a few moments of freedom."
At that moment a cold wind blew through the door as it opened and Dumbledore looked over with expectation.
