By the time he'd returned from the morning run, the fox having, thus far, been as wily and as sly as they were wont to be, he was feeling much the better. His initial concerns that his breeding may get in the way of congeniality amongst those of society had proven to be a misguided notion, his status as an Auror having, apparently, impressed the majority of the company.
Stomping their way through the entry hall, the baying of the dogs being closed off by the shutting of the door, his laughter melded with that of the other gentlemen as one of them made a comment best left to the out of doors, though with the lack of womenfolk, at the moment, decorum wasn't at the forefront of their minds.
It was when they turned the corner to head off to the dining room for a spot of tea, that he came to a halt, muttering something to a man named Thomas, that he would be along shortly.
His eyes remained glued on Charlotte's as the laughter was cut off by the shutting of yet another door. For a long moment he studied her before he gave a slight nod of his head, their last meeting very much on his mind as he spoke.
"I was hoping I'd see you, today."
