House: Gryffindor
Year: 7th
Physical Description: Charlie has brown hair with blond highlights that he doesnt take much time to do anything with; he lets it sit on his head after running a comb through it in the morning and never thinks of it again. He keeps the length fairly the same unless laziness strikes him and he lets it grow out. He has grown out his facial hair in which he keeps nicely trimmed and has green-blue eyes that unmasks what this wizard is feeling. Charlie likes to think he will grow a few extra inches but seems to stand tall at 57 and weighing the average weight of wizards of his age.
Personality Description:
Charlie is as stubborn as can be. No matter what the topic may be he will stand by his own values and try hard to get people to start seeing things his way. He doesnt back down and unless beaten down to a point where he would just look stupid standing by what he thought, he will not give up on what his own mind says. He has an opinion for everything (though he will not always give it) and can be extremely blunt on his opinions (when they are asked of him).
Charlie also has a lighter side to him where he can be a very loyal friend. He tries to stay on good terms with everyone (though, of course, that is not always the case for he has created a few some enemies) and will always be there for a friend when they need him. He gives them a shoulder to cry on and an ear to talk to which wont try to reprimand them for what they have done or try to give the perfect answer to what could quickly solve their problems. Charlie also tries to remain loyal to all those that are his friends, though in some past situations he has been known to take sides.
Charlie is a jovial fellow. He loves a cheerful setting and does anything he can to bring along laughter and smiles to a persons face. If he is in a good mood, he tries to get everyone in a good mood. However, Charlie also has a temper that once it is set off it would be better to leave him alone to get over it because he does not let up. In some situations his temper has led him either to violence or saying things he doesnt really mean.
One trait that always tends to get Charlie in trouble is his impulsiveness. He never thinks before he acts and finds that his first instinct is not always the best to go with. It does help out in some situations, where he was able to get away with his first choice, but more times than the majority he has found that he just digs himself into a bigger hole. Charlie is always standing up for his own beliefs and intervenes when he feels that something is going down that is unjustified. He never stops to think that others may not want his help or need to hear his opinion (but this is something he is trying to work on).
In his intelligence level, Charlie is not the brightest but neither the worst. He works on his studies, doing his schoolwork and studying when needed but typically at the last minute, cramming as many facts and words needed to pass a subject. However, in subjects that he enjoys, Charlie tends to work overboard in. He gets caught up in his projects and adds every little detail he can find.
(Will most likely be adding to his personality in time after workshops and developing my character through posts)
Brief History:
Jeremy Baker lived in Berlin, Germany with his family of witches and wizards. After attending and graduating from a wizarding school in Germany, Jeremy met and married his first wife Lydia who bore him his first son, Charlie. Lydia, a muggle, never wouldve guessed that she had married a man who lived in a world of magic for Jeremy concealed it well. However, when Charlie was at the age of two, Lydia caught Jeremy using his wand to make dinner that night since he was never really good in the kitchen and Lydia had exclaimed that she was too tired from having spent all day with Charlie that it was up to him to get dinner on the table. Jeremy then had to break the truth to Lydia who found that she could not accept him for who he was, and what their son would become. She grew frightened of the power that magic could hold over her that she packed her bags and left the house, filing for a divorce within the first week of separation. Jeremy stayed with Charlie in the muggle world for years after Lydia had left him, hoping that she would come to her senses and take a part in her sons life. They never saw Lydia again.
When Charlie was nine years old, Jeremy decided that it was finally time to move away from Germany and the past that he held there. He had lived for a few years in his parents house, but packed everything up and bought a house in Kent, England in a city called Deal where the two lived by the beach and began their new life. Jeremy started to work as a doctor for a local wizarding hospital and Charlie spent most of his days on the beach with the few friends that he made in the area. The two grew closer and closer as times went by and when Charlie got the acceptance letter to Hogwarts Jeremy couldnt be more proud to see his son following in his footsteps.
When Charlie was thirteen his normal, comfortable life was disrupted. Jeremy met Kendall Kane and soon fell in love. He courted Kendall for five mouths before asking her to be his wife and bringing in a new family into Charlies life. Charlie was not happy with the marriage. He wanted his father to himself, not wanting to share him with anyone else. Now not only was Kendall in the picture, but she brought along with her Madison, Kendalls daughter from her first marriage. Charlie tried to keep the resentment toward Kendall down, mostly because he really did enjoy the company of his new younger sister. The only times that Charlie ever crossed the line with Kendall was when his temper rose and he would shout at her that she was not his mother so she had no say in anything he did. Then when Charlie was 16, he got another sister. Jeremy and Kendall had their first child together, Miranda Baker. Charlie loved the idea of anther sister to look after and is always up to watching his little sister when his parents call him to do so.
Important Relationships:
Jeremy Baker Father of Charlie Being a single parent raising Charlie by himself for most of Charlies growth, the two have created a strong bond. Charlie respects his father and looks up to him as the prime example of who he would like to be one day.
Lydia Mother of Charlie Charlie doesnt know much about his mother except that she is a muggle and ran out on Charlies father when she found out he was a wizard.
Kendall Kane-Baker Step-Mother of Charlie Ever since Kendall and Jeremy first started seeing each other Charlie didnt like her. She was nice, sweet, and perfect for his father but Charlie hated having someone come in and (as he saw it) steal his father away from him. He keeps up all right fronts toward her, but does let his resentment enter their lives when his temper takes hold.
Madison Kane Step-sister of Charlie Charlie finds that he actually enjoys the company of his step-sister. She is always there to sympathize with him when something goes wrong between his parents and is the only person who really knows how to tame is temper. Charlie grew quite fond of her and has taken the spot as her older brother with pride.
Miranda Baker Half-Sister of Charlie The child of Kendall and Jeremy, currently age 1 and a half.
Strengths/Weaknesses: Charlie does well with charms and transfiguration, is always there to be a shoulder to cry on and listen when someone needs to talk, and is a hard-worker, loyal, dedicated, and opinionated. He is also very stubborn and has a temper that will explode when things are not going his way.

Roleplay Sample:
Charlies hands were tied literally. His day had started out as normal as life for Charlie ever could get. He woke up on time to get to breakfast with a quick shower before hand and needed to rush back to his room to change after he spilt his orange juice all over his shirt. He then made it to every class and managed to get through each without being pointed out for one reason or the other except in Potions class when he had forgotten to bring his homework and was ridiculed in front of the whole class. Lunch had been pleasant and dinner was not awful, but it was when he was returning to his common room after a stay in the library for extra study (which really turned into him reading a book about the creation of the first broomstick) to retire for the night when everything took the greater downfall.
When climbing the stairs toward the Fat Lady portrait, Charlie snagged his bag on the railing and it split open dropping some of his possessions down onto the stairwell a few floors down. With a groan, Charlie had looked over the side to see what had fallen, not really wanting to go down after what he had lost since the day had already wiped him out and he was ready to just lounge around and not move much. Sitting on the stairwell about three floors down was the library book that Charlie had checked out a few days before. He knew he could not leave it there because who knew if it would actually be turned in by whoever found it.
Great Charlie, just great, he muttered to himself.
As he was about to turn around and trudge down the stairs he remembered one little detail about himself he was a wizard. Feeling extremely excited to be able to use magic to bring the book up to him, Charlie had pulled out his wand from inside his robes and was about to speak the simple wingardium leviosa spell but in his excitement of not having to climb down fumbled his words and caste a different spell instead.
A rope came out from the tip of his wand, and looking for a place to tie up chose Charlies hands and the railing of the stairway. Charlie had no time to react before the rope tightened around his wrists. He was stuck - tied to the railing with his wand tightly gripped in his hand and no room to move to say another spell to release him.
Shock swept over him like a tidal wave, and Charlie stood staring at his hands gaping at the predicament he had gotten himself into. He looked around; hoping to see another lonely straggler to help him get out of his dilemma, but no one was around. Charlie was trapped. Hands tied and no way to get out.
Charlie did not let the feeling of being trapped stop him from trying to free himself. He tried using his teeth to undo the knot that it made; but that failed. He then tried to maneuver his hands around as much as possible to try to loosen the ropes; but that failed. He picked his wand up with his mouth and tried to speak a spell while holding his wand between his teeth, but he failed because he ended up dropping his wand at his feet.
Just as Charlie was about to give up hope and give into his fate of being stuck to the railing for hours until someone can by to untie him, he heard footsteps coming up the stairs. He looked over his shoulder and saw that it was Professor Binns and in his hands was the library book that Charlie had dropped.
Professor! Charlie called out, Do you-do you think you can help me?
He gave a sheepish grin and moved out of the way, showing the Professor the mess he had gotten himself into.
