Being back at school took a while to get use to. She was a bit behind on her studies because of the wedding so she was a bit stressed out from that. Not too much though. Shanley had learned from her older brothers to not stress out so much and to not take academics too seriously. Shanley idolized Jeremy and so she knew he would tell her to not freak out about the work load, that everything would be fine. She tried her best not to do that. Still though she was a bit stressed and that did not help her mood any.
Classes were over though and Shanley had plans to first take a break and hang out with some friends before going to the library for an hour, no more, no less. The hallways were crowded as usual and Shanley found herself slipping inbetween small gaps in order to make her way back to the Hufflepuff Common room. She got stuck in a flow of traffic though and couldn't get out, when she had her chance, when she found an opening she went for it, at the same time another student, an older one was trying to get in. Shanley was all but shoved out of the way, nearly losing her balance and falling if it wasn't for the fact that she had been shoved into some other students.
She knew this older student though. It was Kalle's sister. Shanley liked Kalle. She did not like his sister. "I suppose being a Slytherin must also mean you don't have any manners either." Shanley snapped before she could stop herself. Jeremy would die of shame if he had heard that. Shanley, like her family, was not prejudice in the least, especially when it comes to the houses at school. Jeremy would be so disappointed if he heard those words fall from Shanley's lips. But Jeremy wasn't around and Shanley was annoyed. It wasn't her fault she had resorted to rudeness.
